Larry Morse was a founding member of the Karpel Foundation Board of Directors. Larry spent his career pursuing justice and did so as an elected District Attorney and later as the legislative director for the California District Attorneys Association. Larry never met a stranger and could bring a smile to most anyone he met with his easy demeanor and his ability to see some humor in most everything. He tragically passed in September of 2021 and since that time the Foundation has, in his honor, given awards to career prosecutors who have applied their talents to achieving justice day in and day out. Additionally, these prosecutors have shown the ability to bring a little humor to their job, easing the stress on their coworkers, their families and themselves. To date the Foundation has awarded $50,000 to seven deserving career prosecutors from all over the country, with additional awards to be granted in 2024.
